Forty people received ₦5,000 each through the Acts of Random Kindness show

An anonymous donor has given ₦200,000 through the Nkemjika Development Foundation to be shared among forty people, at ₦5,000 each. The gift was announced on the Acts of Random Kindness (A.R.K.) show, broadcast on Boss FM and Bizzibodi FM, and the forty recipients were selected at random from among the foundation's social media followers.
The foundation has confirmed that all forty people have since received the money. The purpose was to ease the pressure the current economic conditions are putting on households, and the donor chose to give without being named.
The foundation is grateful to the donor for the gift and for the decision to keep it anonymous. The A.R.K. segment exists for exactly this: a way for people who want to give directly to a household to do it without setting up a structure around it.
Both broadcasts are part of the foundation's partnership with Boss Radio 98.9FM and Bizzibodi 100.1FM, both based in Owerri. Those partnerships carry the foundation's anti-drug and anti-domestic-violence campaigning across the South East as well as appeals like this one.
Anyone who wants to give in the same way can contact the foundation directly. The address is on the contact page.
